• Successful writes require success from the selected backing store.
• Unsupported store operations fail explicitly; the gateway does not silently replace them with a narrower request.
• Client-visible behavior is documented per store and API.
• Gateway or backing-store failures remain visible to callers. See failure modes.

You operate the deployment and its backups. The local Compose volume holds rows; the bundle does not configure an external backup service.
